The existing Easts Bronte Rd entry was a non-descript door at the end of a corridor. Cullinan Ivanov Partnership were commissioned to create a totally new secondary entry for the Easts Group’s Bondi flagship Club.

The central idea for the new foyer was to create a street presence with an elegant entry not only serving the Club, but also the independently operated restaurant and fitness centre – Elixr Bondi. Departing from the traditional club approach of neon-lit and brightly coloured signage, C I Partnership commissioned the artist Michael Fitzjames to produce a mural for the entry wall. Michael and our team worked together to come up with the ideas for the mural. The resulting artwork was digitised and CNC routed from sheets of 6mm aluminium, which were then anodised in satin black.

The monochromatic nature of the artwork was carried throughout palette of materials for the foyer, with shades of white for ceiling and walls and dark brown/black/metal gray for the joinery and floor finishes.

CI Partnership provided full architectural services for this project. We coordinated the consultant team including the work of the structural, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and fire engineers. C I Partnership tendered the construction works and administered the building contract on behalf of the Club.
