This two bedroom apartment in a 1930’s building is situated in Bellevue Hill. The general arrangement of rooms was retained and structural changes were kept to a minimum, with only a few nib walls being demolished. Nibs were removed and openings made bigger in order to bring light throughout the apartment. The previously dark hallway was fitted with a lower ceiling, which conceals pelmet lights, which brighten up the space with indirect light. All the new pivot doors were designed with frosted glass inserts to further allow light into the previously dark spaces.

The new kitchen was designed to follow two of the walls in order to allow for a dining table to be incorporated in the space. The bathroom features a mirror wall with an integrated towel rail, which helps make this tiny space look much bigger. The colour scheme was kept to off whites with bright splashes of colour providing warm glows in both bathroom and kitchen.
