Cullinan Ivanov have been providing architecture, interior design and project coordination services for the development of a new 32 bay driving range at Breakers Country Club. Working closely with the team at Mounties we have designed a state-of-the-art golfing facility which will provide a great new synergy business directly adjacent to the existing golf club.
The facility comprises 32 driving range bays, each with a social lounge gathering space adjacent. The bays are arrayed over two levels. Each level has a seamless connection directly into the club – a podium link at ground floor and a bridge link on the first floor.
The driving range was designed with a gentle arc arrangement to maximise bay numbers and provide a focal hitting zone. The facility is short range (approximately 67m in total length) with full high side netted fencing. Associated infrastructure includes a ball return shed, lighting and civil works associated with automated ball return.
In addition to the driving range we have designed course modifications to accommodate the new driving range including; a new pro shop, relocated 1st tee and practice green, relocated greenkeeping facilities, and new pathways and landscaping. A ground floor lounge of the club has also been converted to a Driving Range retail space and store.
